Some couples want a wedding that feels like a magazine editorial. Geraline and Christos wanted a really good party. The kind where everyone leaves full, happy, and talking about it for weeks. The kind that feels exactly like the couple at the center of it, warm, fun, unpretentious, and deeply in love with New York City.

That is exactly what they got.

On May 30, 2026, Geraline and Christos celebrated their wedding at 3 West Club in Midtown Manhattan, a venue that sits steps from St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Rockefeller Center rooftop, two of the most iconic backdrops in the entire city. They came to O’Neil Events because they wanted to actually enjoy their wedding day, not manage it. They had done the planning, found vendors they genuinely adored, and had a vision they believed in. Our job was to make sure the day ran so smoothly they never had to think about a single logistics question.

Let’s take a look at how it came together.

The First Look with the Best View in Midtown

There is a rooftop at 3 West Club that looks directly at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. If you have never seen it, the photos above will tell you everything you need to know. Geraline’s gown, a sleek, architectural strapless satin ball gown, photographed beautifully against the spires, and the moment Christos turned around and saw her for the first time is the kind of thing that reminds you why first looks exist.

Aesthetic Sabotage captured both the photography and videography for the day, and their eye for the city as backdrop is visible in every frame. Hair and makeup by AK Aesthetic LLC had Geraline looking polished and relaxed, exactly right for a May afternoon in Midtown.

New York City as the Backdrop

Geraline and Christos are the kind of couple who spend their weekends trying new restaurants and bars, taking long walks through the city’s parks and neighborhoods, and treating New York like the living, breathing thing it is. So naturally, their wedding portraits did not stay on the rooftop.

They took to Fifth Avenue. Christos in his navy suit. Geraline in her gown, holding a sculptural bouquet of white anthuriums, orchids, and green foliage by Pepper Floral. A Sabrett hot dog cart front and center. New York City doing what it does best, being completely itself, completely unapologetic about it, and somehow making everything look incredible.

The Fifth Avenue crossing shot is one of those images that will stop people mid-scroll. A bride and groom crossing the street in Midtown while traffic flows around them, her dress catching the wind, the city carrying on at full volume. It is New York in a single frame.

Choosing O’Neil Events for our day of coordination was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. We worked with Colleen and her presence and expertise were so valuable to us. From the beginning of the process, she was a fast responder, readily available, and organized all the details with our vendors for us. The weekend of went so incredibly smoothly. She was quick to offer solutions and insured everything was in place without us having to worry or ask. For example, at the end of the night, she had already gathered our card box, signage, and ceremony material and safely placed them in our room so we didn’t have to worry about it and we got to say our goodbyes to our guests. Thank you for your work! We couldn’t have done it without you!

3 West Club: A NYC Midtown Hidden Gem

Venue: 3 West Club | 3 West 51st Street, New York NY 10019

3 West Club sits in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, directly across from St. Patrick’s Cathedral on West 51st Street. It is one of those venues that feels like a genuine discovery, elegant, intimate, and steeped in the kind of architectural detail that makes every corner of the room photograph well. The reception spaces have a warmth that larger hotel ballrooms often lack, which made it a natural fit for a couple who wanted a celebration that felt personal rather than grand.

Geraline came to us specifically because of our experience with 3 West Club, which made the planning process significantly smoother from the start. Knowing a venue’s team, its rhythms, and its specific logistics before a single vendor call is made is one of the most underrated advantages of working with a planner who has been there before.
